Indonesia’s continued progress demands a resilient and modern energy infrastructure. At the heart of this transformation is the Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) Balikpapan Project, one of Pertamina’s most strategic initiatives in East Kalimantan. This project is designed to significantly upgrade refining capacity and product quality, supporting national energy security and reducing dependence on imported fuels.

Once fully operational, RDMP Balikpapan will boost refinery output from 260,000 to 360,000 barrels per day, while producing cleaner, higher-value fuels in compliance with international standards. The project is not just a technical upgrade — it represents Pertamina’s commitment to industrial excellence, environmental stewardship, and the acceleration of Indonesia’s downstream competitiveness.

RDMP Balikpapan is a critical enabler of energy independence and a driver of sustainable economic growth for years to come.
